Channeling some serious gratitude to Alannah tonight, one of our very first customers who returned today and purchased one of our original jeweled bib necklaces. Packing this one up with a whole lot of love!

Bindis are used in India and throughout South East Asia during celebratory occasions and are seen as a “third eye”. They are placed between the eyes at the sixth chakra. In the Hindu religion, bindis are said to strengthen concentration and repel bad luck.
While bindis have been used to signify a specific religion or status, they are now worn in wide variation and are largely decorative, hence the beautiful designs you see in many shops and markets.
Shop bindis at Bombay Mermaid — our current bindi inventory is almost sold out!
New treasures in the shop, from epic Indian wedding jewelry to wooden beaded bracelets, dream catchers, and elegant vintage pendants. Check everything out here.
